Career change - Decided to transfer out of consulting

Let me start out by saying I know the overall answer is: it's extremely difficult.

However, I've decided to transfer out of consulting (to pharma./biotech) and into finance. Is there any obvious place where the skills I've developed might transfer in the wall st. world? Aside from getting an MBA any suggestions on how to start the process?

I'm a 34yr old female, living in NYC. Just looking for thoughts/opinions and, of course, ready for the sarcasm and brutal answers.

New Yorkerstart doing yoga and find a rich husband, easiest route

I am a woman too, and much to my chagrin starting to think the above ^^ IS the easiest route. Unless the husband makes you have a child, it certainly seems like it's less hassle. It's particularly great if he works long hours and you only have to put up with him 10 waking hrs a week or so.

Depends. What consulting firm were you at before? Boutique is not a bad option... and 34 certainly isn't too old to start an MBA, I interned alongside a 36 year old last year.

ArgonautThis ought to be interesting, where's popcorn XD
sorry to disappoint argo but no pics --- this job search thing is so utterly boring. I would love love love to do yoga all day and not worry about bills etc in exchange for entertaining a husband.. the fabulous part is that in such an arrangement he can pursue any extramarital affairs and I get a night off. it's win-win all around.
