Cash account trades
I have a question about trading in a cash account. So I realize that there is a $25k minimum for a pattern day Trader in a margin acct, but it doesn't apply to a trader in a cash account. Although, funds take 3 days to settle in a cash account, so I would have to wait until the funds settle to trade. So, if I have $100 of settled funds in my acct, and I buy $100 worth of shares of $X on day 1, could I sell them on the same day, or would I have to wait until day 4 to sell them? How can you day trade in a cash account if you have to wait 3 days until the funds settle? Wouldn't I have to wait 3 days for the shares to be mine, then I sell, and I have to wait another 3 days to have the fund settled?
