Chances of getting into M7 program with low GPA, high GMAT

Wanted to get your take on chances of getting into an M7 program with these stats.

I have a really bad undergraduate GPA. No good reason or circumstances that caused it. Was too caught up with working part-time to afford school and with extracurriculars. I managed to get strong work experience despite the GPA and am thinking about applying to business school to further my career and for exit-opportunities.

Education: - 2.6 uGPA engineering major at top public university - 750 GMAT - part-time work throughout college - leadership experience

Work Experience: - 3 years tier 1 Asset Management - 2 years tech - strategic finance role

EC: - board member of national volunteer organization - triathlon finisher

The GPA is rough, but you could have a shot if you can spin an effective story 1. Explaining why your GPA was low 2. What unique characteristics qualify you as a strong candidate. Did you raise millions of dollars for the volunteer organization, save someone from a burning building, etc.

Most likely looking at 10-15 here but non H/S M7 is possible depending on how your companies are viewed by adcoms (do they have a history of sending people to M7) and to the extent you have a legit reason for the low gpa
