Chicago\Indianapolis Analyst Development Programs Hiring
Are there any decent commercial banking\corporate or institutional banking\Asset Management\wealth management or private banking analyst development programs hiring right now? I've already hit all the BB banks. It seems like most of them start recruiting in September, unfortunately. There are a couple, however, that appear to be hiring, JPMorgan and BofA among them. I've also checked Wells Fargo to no avail and I've applied to PNC. Are there any other banks with a presence in Chicago\Indianapolis that I should be considering?
BMO, KeyBanc, USBank are three other big ones, maybe Fifth-Third? You're better off to do this search yourself man. Don't just ask for everything to be handed to you.
Thanks. Was really just wanting a couple names. It's surprisingly not so easy to search for these. Due to the internet obsession with investment banking, you have the BBs and then tons of information about middle market and boutique banks to which I have no interest in applying. The big commercial banks are pretty neglected. Thank you for the names.
Some others with rotationals might be: Bank One Capital Burling Bank Liberty Bank North Side Federal Savings and Loan Mainsource Financial Group Marquette National Corp MB Financial (**another big one) Third Century Bancorp United Commerce Bancorp You could always try being a bank examiner at the FED in chicago, assume it's similar experience (evaluate creditworthiness, etc)
I'm not sure if any of these have rotationals or are still recruiting just did quick search of banks in chicago / indianapolis area via CapIQ and those are the ones that might be big enough to have programs for undergrads
I think all of the banks are wrapping up there search for fresh blood. The only hope you may have to get in to a program starting in 2012 is if a candidate drops out before it has begun. But even then they will probably go straight to their list of interviewed candidates before starting the process from the beginning.
Now if you want an regular entry level position, there will be a SLIGHTLY higher chance that the scenario where an analyst leaves/gets fired and you could swoop into their spot.
Either way it would take a lot of luck and some pretty solid networking contacts.
Wintrust Financial is smaller but it is a Chicago Bank that is in decent condition and they might be expected to hire when many other banks are not even looking at experienced candidates

-MB Financial -BMO Harris -PrivateBank Corp -Wintrust -GE Capital -Fifth Third -CreditAgricole -CIT Group -Amalgamted Bank -US Bank Corp -HSBC
