huh..weird. i always thought that the corporate bank and the investment bank were attached. corporate bankers maintain relationships and manage the bank's portfolio's while the investment bankers originate and execute.

..anyone have insight on this?

They already are integrated to a point, it's called the "universal banking" model( the only one that survived). I guess my question is how will they integrate them even more?

Is an Ibank vp going to be calling up a corp analyst to give him work?

Right now I am under the impression they cross sell products extensively but different people represent the two division respectively. and in the past there was what jackofalltrades mentions a "Citi swarm" that had one or two people per product.

Any insight on how this would be affecting analysts?
