I think it's smart in the current environment... might as well try to capitalized on the synergies and the low volume dealflow in the market...
huh..weird. i always thought that the corporate bank and the investment bank were attached. corporate bankers maintain relationships and manage the bank's portfolio's while the investment bankers originate and execute.
..anyone have insight on this?We're about to enter a Great Depression. Don't you want a president who's already dressed for it?
Isn't this the same way JPM and BAC have their IBD/Corproate Bank set up?

They already are integrated to a point, it's called the "universal banking" model( the only one that survived). I guess my question is how will they integrate them even more?
Is an Ibank vp going to be calling up a corp analyst to give him work?
Right now I am under the impression they cross sell products extensively but different people represent the two division respectively. and in the past there was what jackofalltrades mentions a "Citi swarm" that had one or two people per product.
