Client Services at Bridgewater

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone could offer some insight into what client services at Bridgewater Associates would entail. More generally, how is the position received, compensation, exit ops etc. Any info would be great.

Client Services @ Bridgewater and any other firm with this position or "services" in the title is a sales oriented role. You learn products and pitch them. Give clients updates, a little bit of bookkeeping, basically the the first line of defense for any discrepancies a client may have before management needs to be called. it is viewed as a job and nothing more.

Incorrect. They have a marketing dept., but Client Services is their general term for reporting, analytics, transition management, and sales/marketing.

LOL@you

As I stated... "sales oriented" You are either doing reporting or analytics for the purpose of talking to investors/clients as part of a team. You do not manage money and you do not develop ideas as a strategist. What else is left at a firm besides compliance and accounting? Sales(Client Services/Relations).... You can sprinkle powder sugar on it and call what you like.

Na, you're still wrong, client servicing entails 'servicing clients' bizarrely. Therefore it is focused on ensuring existing clients receive performance, risk and analytics info. The sales team will manage existing and prospective relationships and will therefore occasionally require work to be done for them by the client services team - it really is different from a sales role, there will be no sales targets, client schmoozing etc and is not revenue generating in the same way that sales is - and is therefore a back office position.

Seeing how understanding the context of how "oriented" was used is clearly above your pay scale.... I'll say in terms that you and your other moniker can understand. It is a gopher job with a shiny title to keep the little busy bee working by having him/her THINK he/she is bringing value to the firm. When in fact it is the first job to get shit canned.

..and adults say "No" not "Na"..

"Servicing clients bizarrely" hahahaha get the hell out of here with that BS
