Company holiday party

Wow. My fund has just announced that the annual holiday party will consist of a day of community service on a saturday and then a get-together at the office later that day. Back in 2006-2007 we had parties at swanky venues followed by an after-party where people would get wasted. I guess this is a sign of how badly the fund is doing.

Edmundo BravermanI can't believe how sad this makes me. To think that 20 short years ago you did community service because you got busted doing blow off your secretary's rack AT the company Christmas party. This is truly pathetic.

The end of an era and a life we all missed (not you but us new guys).

It's ridiculously depressing.

Yeah, it's depressing indeed. I used to work at the chicago mercantile exchange, and the stories that the old timers told were pretty ridiculous: traders easily making six-figures in a single day, doing coke, fucking the hot trading assistants, lavish weekend parties.
