compare these jobs for me

looking into a fulltime job to start next year, but i'm not quite as knowledgeable about the top positions out in the market as some.

two that I know to be very appealing and top shops are DE Shaw('s fundamentals, i'm not a math phd) and Goldman's SSG. what are the other places that are on that kind of level, and how are their reputations distinct in terms of culture, ability to have a semblance of a life, etc. (reputation question also for the two above, as i don't know them in and out so well...just what they're generally about)
