I was just curious to know how you guys would treat two applicants with these backgrounds if you were sitting in admissions at a top 15 b-school.
Lets suppose that the oil company corp fin is a structured rotational program. I'm not sure if BB's have rotational programs (I would think not since most people do their 2 years then jump ship).
I personally think the IBD background would get more love considering its more intense when compared with a conservative oil company. But at the same time, at the oil company you can potentially get more meaningful opportunities (I can attest to this).
What do you guys think....
