This financial statement totally confused me. What's the cost of goods sold here for 2008? Is it 84,616 or 71,527?

Neither, it's $13,089. Beginning Inv (84,616) - Ending Inv (71,527) = COGS. You can also see this through Total Rev - Gross Profit.
Got it! Many thanks!! Sorry another quick question, in the cf statement there is a charge for acquisition of a website in the cash due to investing activities part. Is acquisition of website part of Capex?

It's actually the 13,089 number (Revenue - Gross Profit). The two numbers you mentioned are goods purchased and ending inventory.
