COVID Lateral Interview Process
Wanted to see if anyone's been through any lateral interview process since the pandemic started and everything shifted to virtual/zoom interviews. How long was the process? # of rounds? how long did it take to get an offer from the last interview date? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks!
following
Recently went through the process. They moved pretty quickly and I did 7 interviews in a span of 3 weeks, all on zoom. 4 weekdays after my final interview I got the verbal and another day for the actual offer to hit my email. During those 4 days they called my references.
do you mind sharing at the time you had two or one year ib experience for lateral positoins?
Well I had 0 in IB. They considered me to be lateral still. I was coming from one year experience in prime brokerage and happened to network and land the interviews for IB.
Varies bank by bank but I have been through a few processes since COVID. The short processes have been first round phone/zoom and then straight to super day with 4-6 interviews over zoom. Longer processes have been first round phone/zoom, second round phone/zoom, model test, then superday
Any good news sofar?
Not yet, but just had a superday yesterday so fingers crossed. This was my 3rd superday in the last 2 months or so
