CRM Software

Just curious if any brokers(or anyone else, really) is using any of the multitudes of CRM software that's out there. I'm in the process of picking between a couple because I've grown tired of dealing with Excel and post-its and my whiteboard to keep track of things. At a certain point it's just too much. Anyone have any luck or are they all just a mess of a different kind?

My group (sponsor/operator) just implemented Salesforce for pipeline, investor tracking, and portfolio management administrative purposes. It was a ton of leg work up front but I have to say I don't miss keeping track of things in 100 different spreadsheets. I'd say its definitely been a value add for us.

Interesting, thanks for the responses guys! There are just so many out there, and it's such a time investment to really try each one out properly, thanks for the help.

For your size, go with Close.io or Pipedrive.

It's more suited for the single worker or small team and focused on the actual sales person (rather than the sales management, like Salesforce).

That's interesting, thanks. Yeah one of the issues I've noticed with Salesforce is that it seems like it's more for managing a team of 100 salespeople, I just really need something to keep track of my own shit.

Salesforce's got a new interface, The Lightening Experience, which is more user friendly.

It is. Think of it like this. Who does Salesforce sell to? Not the reps, but to the management. So all that customizability is just superfluous stuff for you. Get something you like putting data into, is intuitive and go from there.

Close.io has a free trial and so does Pipedrive (I think). Try them out and worst case, move on.

Salesforce SHOULD provide lead management solutions, along with a host of other solutions on their CRM platform. You can also take a look at RightNow & NetSuite, and SAP/Oracle are bound to have some sort of CRM system that does what you are looking for.
