CS Houston
Any thoughts/comments on CS's energy and infrastructure group down in Houston? Particularly on potential deal exposure and culture. Thanks

Have you gotten an offer already? I'm in the process as well but haven't heard much since last week.
No just first round interview this week
Did you have the first round already? Sorry for spamming your post with questions instead of info ur looking for, just want to see if i was dinged and move on
No worries. Yeah I’d assume so because they sent out invites on Saturday. You win some, you lose some.
.
Is that true? I heard they had been killing it this year and the last.
They’ve been on every big O&G deal so far, wouldn’t be surprised if they were on doublepoint too. Not too bad for closing shop.
Are you an actual idiot? CS has been on every major M&A transaction in the space and have absolutely killed it.
I heard they didn't kill it on Pioneer / Doublepoint
Went well. They want 3 lateral hires surprisingly
.
be ready to regularly go to bed around 4am lol, good deal flow tho.
I heard 2019 was very bad for them from someone on the team. Source Even speculated Houston may not make it but I don’t think he/she meant that.
What does the status on your portal say? I've applied to a few spots at CS and was wondering what it changes to when you're interviewing.
Does anyone actually know who advised Double point and Pioneer on their recent transaction? Curious about it and don’t think I found the info online.
All I saw was that V&E advised DoublePoint, but they are a law firm. Not sure about the IB advisors
Yeah I saw that too but like you said, it didn’t mention the IB firm. Saw other articles that neither mentioned the IB firms or The law firm. Any reason why many articles don’t mention the IB firm?
Bump. OP - how did your interviews/superday go? I'm in the process now and trying to gauge how it'll go.
