DB HR frustration...what should I do

I recently accepted an offer with another firm so of course I had to contact other firms that I was in the middle of the process with. DB was one of these banks and I was already scheduled for a superday. I alerted alumni and my first round interviewers a few days ago and was asked to also alert HR. I sent HR an email a few days ago (superday was today), but never got a response. I then proceeded to call this person multiple times but she didn't answer and her voice mail was full!

I eventually just gave up and decided that I had done my part to alert them that I would no longer be coming to the superday. HOWEVER, I got a call while in class today from DB basically asking where I was because I was "late" to my interview. I called back right away. The phone rang about 50 times and never went to voice mail! I tried 3 more times with the same result. Finally I sent ANOTHER email to the first woman telling her the situation. Still haven't heard back...

I really am at a loss here. I know that I handled things well with the bankers and the people that matter but I dont want to get black listed by the HR people....

My mind boggles when I try to understand why HR are so incompetent.

At least they didnt call you 2 hours after your interview, then hang up when answering. Then have you call back repeatedly and not answer and then call you on Wednesday and say you were not getting the position.
