Deferring Admission Question

Hello, I'm a late 20s military officer and applied to only one school in R2, the only school I wanted to attend. I will know the official result soon, but I am 90% sure I will get accepted based on how I think the overall application process went.

With that being said, I think I may need to ask for a deferment because 1. I'm not sure if I will be able to get out of the military in time to make it by the start of the school year (the paperwork to get out can take up to 6 months) and 2. I've concluded that I would like to return for a year to an overseas military assignment that I greatly enjoyed and where my fiance still lives, and then go to b school after that.

I am scheduled to attend a 5 month military course in May as part of normal career progression that will commit me to another year in the military upon its completion, so in actuality, I would need to defer for 2 years, not 1. Do you think an admissions committee would be sympathetic to the reasons listed above and possibly grant deferment, especially if I paid a deposit to keep my spot?

The school is one of the best outside the US and has a strong international reputation.

My only concern for asking for a deferment is that it may hurt my chances of getting one of the handful of military scholarships the school offers, which you don't know if you will receive until after you have committed to attending.

Thanks for any advice you may have on this issue.
