do you guys all have a spare suit at the office?

i've heard that it's good to have a jacket at the office in case you have to run off to a meeting with a client or something. but i imagine it would look weird if you were wearing a suit blazer with pants of a different color that clearly did not match. so what does everyone do in case you have to put on a suit at the last minute? do you all just keep an extra suit at the office?

In general I only wear charcoal/grey pants and have a spare jacket of the same color in the office in case something comes up. I also usually stick to white/blue shirts so that they actually match the jacket. I guess if you're really worried you could actually have multiple spare jackets in the office but in general the safest bet is to stick to 1 or 2 colors and make sure the spare jacket goes with your pants. It's boring but the safe thing to do.

Bumping this thread.

Where would an analyst keep a spare jacket at the office? Shoes?

Nice thought Dresscode. But I would suggest keep a black jacket with you, helps makes good contrasts with almost everything you might be wearing. If you get clients and meetings daily, its much better to keep a spare suite and tie with ya.

Why would that be better? And why would you wear a black jacket? It doesn't look good with anything except black.

It's much better to just wear a suit and take of the jacket. Its takes much more time to change the whole outfit.
