Does anyone know GlobalCrownCapital

Hi all,

Does anyone heard of GlobalCrownCapital?

I had two phone interviews with them and then they offered my a job ( research associate) in San Francisco with on-site interview.
A little bit weird. Then I found on the web that the found/CIO was involved with fund fraud before.

Should I still accepted the offer? Or it's not a company you should work for?

Thanks,

some people do not joining a firm with a mixed reputation, whilest others will absolutely reject being involved at any cost. while fraud is not often talked about because not many are survivors of cases like that, many many many hedge funds have "dodgy" reputations, and if you want to get into the business, you better be prepared to do things that are "grey" area. ie. not black or white. you have to decide how much you are willing to do, if this is the kind of career you really want. how far are you willing to go anyways? good luck!

Although I have never heard of them, it appears to me that this firm is not even a hedge fund anyways. more of a boutique brokerage for high net worth investors.

Thanks. That's really helpful.

I made a mistake there. Actually, they offered me the job without any on-site interview. That's why I feel a little bit strange. Besides, they are very, very eager to know right alway if I would accept the offer. Never seen a company in such a rush.

My job would be in Telecom research area. I mean, research is something I always want to do, but I don't know if I will feel comfortable working in this firm. BTW, will research be involved with " grey " area ?
