I'm looking for a website or database that contains a list of every HF/PE firm along with the company's preferred contact method. Ideally you could filter by strategy, AUM, location, and number of employees.
If this doesn't exist, anyone interested in helping me build it?

Anyone involved in recruiting/ HR tends to be responsive to LinkedIn contacts (its their job after all). I seriously have well over 80% hit rate just adding/ messaging on LNKD.
Oh yeah, the 'easy in' sheet? Totally exists, google man! I got a sr. quant position with a degree in music theory and taking college algebra for poets. I did have a course called 'understanding excel' it wasn't so much how to use excel, but a study on the philosophy of excel. Really set me apart! Obviously this post was very much a joke.
It would be fantastic if it did exist. Just a solid who's who of finance and recruiting. I have a feeling that a lot of the contact information willful be updated really quick.
You could catalog the contact info publicly available on the fund's website. I went through a list of the largest 100 investment managers and a little more than half of them either had a place where open positions are posted or indicated resumes should be sent to an email address.
