EB Analyst -> Credit Research -> Credit Hedge Fund?
I worked for 2 years at an EB doing Rx and M&A, wasn't given a third year promote, didn't do well in buyside recruiting and switched to a sell side credit research role at another bank. I've been here for 2 years now and am a top performer but I'm wondering if my inability to get a buyside job right out of banking will be a dealbreaker as I try to recruit for buyside positions again. Has anyone else been in a similar position or know anyone who has?
