EBS Oestrich Winkel

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if the master in finance of EBS Oestrich Winkel (which has a good reputation in Germany) is able to send me in IB / PE in London?

Thanks

to your question, yes its targeted and you might get a good shot. loads of alumni around though mainly from their bsc. pwp has quite a few but any BB does as well.

on another note though I think the shool is a joke (some might agree, some might not). they are fighting every year to get a second accreditation and their dean was just arrested on fraud charges, and there are some other controversial topics making their way into the news (such as influenced rankings etc.)

honestly if you want to study in germany go to whu or mannheim.

Thanks for your reply dude . The fact is I will have the possibility to take this master without paying any tuition...

Do you think even with this advantage, a master at Bocconi, Cass or similar would be better?

good question and i cant really give you a good answere. it totally depends on your previous experience, where you got your bsc, your internships.

ofcourse some would say bocconi places better but on the other hand if everything is in line your chances are pretty good from ebs (also probably a lot of options in germany). as i said there are many many alumni from ebs in pretty good places (all the levels up to MDs at various BBs). they place people every year into london (but again many from the bsc, most I know did their bsc there and then did an msc at another, higher ranked school in europe).

so if you have your internships and network during all their career events you should be able to land a job. maybe slighlty less likely than from bocconi, but this is marginal (and yes not paying is obviously a good thing).

Germany => St. Gallen, Mannheim & WHU.

I'd like to echo that EBS is a strong target for banks and consulting firms in London and Germany. I'd also like to echo that the curriculum is a joke indeed, and that I'd recommend WHU and St. Gallen any day. Nevertheless, if EBS is the only option, go for it.

St. Gallen is in Switzerland and not in Germany. And to be honest, you cannot compare St Gallen and Mannheim to EBS, both are public schools, EBS is not. However, I couldnt agree more with the others that EBS is just a freaking joke. The alumni network is worth going there, but thats about it... (and most of them are total douches).
