Econ Consulting vs Finance Career

Hi all,

I am a final year Economics master student from a leading university in Western Europe.

High GPA, I have one internship in research and one in economics consulting in London (think NERA, Brattle, Frontier). I missed the banking SA recruiting but hope to get something out from offcycles, even though networking opportunities (apart from Linkedin) are limited.

  1. Anyone successfully transitioned from Econ Consulting to banking?
  2. If so, better to get in a regional bank and change later on, or stick with econ consulting and change after 2/3 years?

Thanks in advance.
