emailing recruiting managers
I spoke with an alumni today and had a really good conversation which resulted in her asking for my resume. She also gave me email Ids of a few recruiting managers of other firms who are good friends with her, asking me to email them.
My question is how should I word my email to those managers.
something like ..
" I am looking for an entry level position in so and so.I spoke with XX and she suggested I should send my resume to you. Please allow me to to do the same."
Will this be too straightforward?
Sorry for the stupid question.
No, it's perfect. Don't beat around the bush. The persons name will instantly allow the reader to know you have been "referred."
I have had similar things happen to me. It is fine, just email them. As mentioned above, the name will let the reader know whats up right away.
as everybody said, the letter is just perfect...not too pushy but gets the point across. This is for SA right not FT?
btw alumni is plural, alumna is singular (and thats coming from a physics/econ/engg major)
