Hi everyone, I am curious about people’s opinions on MBA vs EMBA. Does it provide the same opportunities? Could you make a slight career path change with an EMBA? I currently work in S&T at a BB in NYC and was looking for ways to break into PE. Will EMBA be enough or should I just go for the regular MBA? Thanks!

The two paths are differentiated by their clientele rather than their functionality. The EMBA designation is typically targeted a candidates with ~10+ years of work experience, whereas a traditional MBA program targets candidates with ~3-7 years of experience. These of course aren't hard numbers, but if you look at the admitted class for each respective degree, I'm sure that your average program will be around those numbers. Now in regard to your actual question, S&T to PE post MBA is not a traditional course, and therefore are likely very limited data points.
