Northeastern or Washu for better IB placement?

I got into Northeastern's MS in Quantitative Finance and also Washu's specialized MS in corporate finance. I understand that Washu ranks better but all I care about is whether or not it will up my chances of breaking into IB. Obviously my major at Washu isn't directly related to IB and I have heard that they place better for consulting, but I just want to hear what everyone thinks, especially alumni, is it easier to land internships/jobs during and post school at Northeastern? or is it easier at Washu? I am not much of a social person so networking is a little challenging for me (definitely working on talking to people, just need more charisma). I am worried that with my lack of rizz, I won't be able to land any internships at Washu, my resume is completely void of finance related experiences atm, also I don't care about the tuition and living costs (they're pretty much the same).

Currently enrolled in MSQF. Gotta say it's shit.

I'm internatuonal; assuming you are as well. Almost no one goes to IB. There were ~170 students for the class graduating in 2023, only 5-6 people have went into financial services firm. Only 2 have have broken into IB.

For me NEU's only selling point was its Co-op. I found out that specialized Master's students in B-school cant do Co-ops (Internships are 4 months and coops are 6 months). Summer internships are hard to land because we're already out of recruitment cycle by then. Every year I think only one student goes to BB for full time.

Only 15 people have gotten any full-time offers let alone in high finance.

Im not sure about the other program but NEU's MSQF program is not worth it. Let me know if you want to know more.

Exactly the type of insight I am looking for. I am from the states, but do you mind telling me where most people end up working? And where are you working currently? I have heard that NEU has great placement in the East Coast and this seems to be the case when I browse through LinkedIn, but I am curious to know where I can find more data related to that.

I am still enrolled in the course. Fortunately for me, I had a great connection who got me into an internship in F500 corp finance role. About 97% of the class is international so the first hurdle to be crossed for most, is visa sponsorship. Hence, that stops most from getting into high finance. So most people get what they can for internships. rn only 15-16 people have gotten an internship out of class of ~190. I personally have been rejected many times just for my visa status. The course itself is pretty good. lots of great and capable professors. Career management for MSQF is not good. afaik for full time, again, people take what they can get but many students get into boutiques or LMM firms and very few get into BB (not the premier groups tho)

regarding the placements, undergrads have solid placements. from what ive seen they've really put in efforts and made great profiles to be placed. MBAs get really good Coops. Only 1st person perspective can give you the data you desire.

Hey, now that you're (hopefully) done with the MSQF, do you have any concluding thoughts? I just applied to the program and would love more advice/thought.
