the ppl I knew who went to UChicago were in 2-3 of these clubs at various levels of your prestige ranking. generally S and A check out based on the outcomes I’m aware of. none had any issue recruiting for what they wanted to do.
I’ve always found the UChicago to banking archetype funny though, like bringing an absurd amount of academic / intellectual horsepower to a job that has increasingly abstracted since 2010 / 2020 / 2023. Did you really need to take fed reserve level econometrics to spread comps? Respect though smart as hell.
Tbh the people there aren’t even that smart anymore. Ed0 and tons of 20-50th percentile prep school kids that couldn’t get into an Ivy ed1
