Equity Research Recruiting 2016
Does anyone know what the timeline for ER recruiting is for rising seniors? How do your expectations vary (By BB, BB v. EB, etc)?

Also very interested in this, anyone have any insight?
ER recruiting is less structured than banking. they don't bring entire classes of associates on each year. spots open randomly
Start networking now - most FT spots will go to the summer interns; you want to be top of mind for the remaining seats
Very curious about this as well

When is the recruiting conducted for ER full-time starting positions (at BB and MM banks)? Thank you.

My BB finished recruiting right before Thanksgiving
So, the final interviews were in November, and when was the application deadline?..
In my case, an alumni forwarded my resume along during the 3rd week of August, and I got offered a first round interview a day later. I managed to push the interview back to the 2nd week of September, and then I went to a superday on the 3rd week of September. I received my offer on the 4th week.
All things considered, the timeline was rather ad hoc. I finished applying everywhere by the 3rd week of September. A few other firms notified me that they'd filled their positions (aka rejected me) around late October and mid-November. JP Morgan IMD just emailed me last week that they'd finished recruiting. Overall, recruiting for full-time in ER doesn't seem very formalized, especially since there's so few open positions for full-time roles.
It's generally on an ad-hoc basis. Definitely not as standardized as IB. However, I was told when I was recruiting that the most likely time ER jobs spring up the most are right after 1Q. People get paid there bonus and jump ship.
