Evercore - culture/hours

Looking to lateral, how is Evercore in terms of hours and culture? Heard mixed things (sweaty vs mixed). Heard junior culture is amazing but they do close a ton of deals so are seniors very intense?

Although I agree that Evercore is Evercore and an offer from them is insane to turn down, the culture does vary. In my experience, the tech team (with healthcare) in Menlo Park has a great culture and hours can be more predictable than NYC, although still long. You get lots of exposure with seniors as the group is smaller and the west coast is more laidback in general imo.

You ever feel borderline catfished meeting IB ppl in person after connecting on Linkedin?  I remember meeting a female associate at Evercore who had a young and vibrant LinkedIn photo but when I met her in person at a happy hour, she was balding, did not look healthy and could not make eye contact longer than 10 seconds without looking down at her phone.  A male associate I met there gained 30 pounds from his school days.  But who we kiddin'?  If you get an offer from Evercore, you take it.
