Excel Help - Quick question about Excel
Hey Guys,
I have a quick question about Excel for you all. I've been trying to figure this out myself but I figure it will be easier and faster if I ask you all.
Let's say in Excel I have columns with different monetary value projecting profit for a company. Is there a fast way using excel, where I can use a formula or something to increase each number by 15% instead of calculating and changing it manually??
Thanks!
oh wow
just find a new area... pick the top right most cell, make formula (=cell#*1.15) and then autofill right and down to get all of them at the new value
get. the. fuck. out.
type 15% in another cell and then multiply your value by 1+15% cell, hit f4 to fix the 15% cell, then hit enter copy ctrl+c the result, paste with alt+e+s+v that cell across the row
try again
LOL
Go to one of the cells, press F2 to access the cell contents and multiply the number by 1.15 and hit enter. Copy this cell, select the entire column going down using the Ctrl and Shift keys, then hit Alt E S F to copy the 15% increase formula to each cell. Hope this helps.
And if you happen to be trollin' and they hatin', just keep ridin dirty. Never let them catch you - trollers 4 lyfe, you bada$$!
I can't tell if this is a serious question.
it was a serious question, not trolling. thanks for the help
1) Type 1.15 in another cell -- let's call it cell "A1" 2) Ctrl. C cell A1 3) Highlight all cells you want increased by 15% 4) Paste special --> Multiply (Alt. E S M)
Unrelated note: this also works if you want Text --> Values (i.e. lookups aren't working), but instead of "1.15" you use "1".
