F1 Visa MMs and BBs - Getting experience?

Since im a junior from a non target (with strong record) i looked into a bunch of MM firms in case i dont make it into a BB this summer. It seems to me that they dont accept international students. Is this right? Does anybody know if i could work for free instead just to get the expirience? Would they still want me?

I'm in the same boat and did some research. I think only top MMs would sponsor international students, and the ones they sponsor come exclusively from targets or semi-targets.
