Try looking through old pages of dealbook on the industry specific pages. Not sure if it will give you whole year unless you want to spend a long time clicking back

Hmm...Yeah looking for more of a list type thing, not really looking through articles, especially since a lot of them aren't just pure "company x acquires company y".

if you want this info for free and if for partic sector look at public company sec filings 10ks/10qs for deal info and target prices paid (if announced). For info on the target if it's private you'll have to search news outlets to get a metric.

I have some access to paid services through my old school account, but I'm looking for an ENTIRE SECTOR list of deals for the past 2 years, not just one company.

Find a Bloomberg Terminal, I cant remember the exact verb but its MA or M&A, or something like that. They break down all the deals by, mkt cap, location, cash or stock, industry, etc. They even list a lot of deals that fell through.
