Firms and Top Companies in Atlanta (or Nashville?)

Hi All! I've come to a point in my career where my wife and I would like to leave the NYC area and move down to Atlanta or Nashville (we met in the South and both went to school there). ****I was hoping one of you could point to any top tier companies or some of the top VC/PE funds in one of those two markets ****

Here is my background at a high level: * I am mid-level in my career (roughly 8 years) with a graduate degree * My recent experience is in data science/marketing analytics at a top credit card issuer and strategy at a top tech company

I realize I need to find a company and job that I would like doing, but I'm having a hard time finding companies in the South that would fit my background. I can think of companies like Home Depot or CNN, and spend time Googling, but a little insider knowledge would be super appreciated. Are there any companies I should be thinking of OR does anyone work @ or have friends at a company down South that pays well and offers good opportunity?

I realize this is kind of vague, so apologies in advance.
