First Date At D&B

I know this is wayyyy off topic. I'm taking this girl from tinder on a first date at Dave & Busters. Tonight (Friday) is this a good choice or should i change it to something else. I thought it would be a good idea cause we are both competitive people. How can should i establish a flirty vibe. Oh and I live in NYC.

If you want to show off, buy the unlimited game pass ahead of time and make it seem like you are a high roller that has special access. She will like that you are rich. Then make sure you win 49% of all the games, but the 51% you lose, make sure you lose big. Then buy her something.

I once took a tinder date to Arbys. She was missing a front tooth. I did not ask how she lost it, which is why I think I did not get a second date. There are worse ideas that Dave & Busters.

Just go to a small bar downtown. The Wren (Lafayette) or Von (Bleecker). International Bar on 1st Ave is the right kind of dive-y if those don’t work. They will be busy, which is ideal—easier to focus on each other and blend in, and it will show you have taste. Please don’t go to the arcade.

No. first few dates just get drinks. Several reasons: you can bail easily if it blows (carry cash), low investment on your end, easy to roll back to your/her crib if she's down to hook up, you're not trying to impress her by blowing wads of cash (i.e. you have plenty of opportunities besides her if she screws up her chance with you), by blowing a lot of money on nice dinners/events the first date then you are conditioning her to expect this moving forward, therefore you dont truly know if she's going out with you b/c shes interested in you or just wants to have a good time w/o spending her own money

Dude it's NY and it's tinder. She couldn't care less where you end up going as long as there's alcohol. She's going to take one look at you and decide right there whether or not you're worth a fuck.

The amount of serious responses here is concerning.

It's Monday. No one in New York still uses tinder. And I'm pretty sure there's not even a D&B in the city.

Quit trying to flex with last year's hip bars.

Great troll.

I took my friend Paul Allen to Texacarna once. Night ended up like a charm.

Really depends on the girl and the brief convo you've had so far. D&B could be a great vibe as there's some form of activity and interaction and you can show off that you're goofy/fun/funny or whatever you're going for.

On the other hand, I can imagine some of my female friends laughing hysterically at the thought of themselves or their friends going on a first date at D&B.

Personally, a good date, and one that you're potentially going on multiple dates with, should either really excited to go to D&B because its slightly more creative than the usual drink/dinner or if it isn't really her speed, go and have a good time anyways.

Anyways don't overthink it, its just a Tinder date. If it's meant to work out then it will.
