I think that you might be a bit confused. Legacy Monitor is split across the Customer & Marketing and Strat & Analytics portfolios. Your question should be how to switch from advisory into consulting and specifically one of those portfolios.

This is mostly done via partner support, and I have heard mixed things around the willingness to support.

Best, M

It's a big jump if you're already there full-time right now. They have specific recruitment channels and other service lines is not one of them.

Without going to business school or something, you need to get Monitor partners to feel they would be fools to not bend over backwards to get you in. As you can imagine, that's tough. They have no shortage of talent thorugh their standard channels to pick from.

Yeah I imagined that, I AM from a top 20 MBA program and also have a master's degree in quantitative finance. Also I am working from a location in Latin America for Deloitte so I think it might be different

It definitely may work differently in Latin America, so it's worth exploring. Deloitte (along with the other accounting firms) is organized as a network of member firms. That means the U.S. firm, the U.K. firm, the Canadian firm, etc. operate independently, essentially (separate P&L, salary structure, etc.). So the advice you get here and elsewhere won't be super useful as Latin America will be likely be unique.

@Actually_Auston_Matthews" thanks very much for your kind answer it is my first time writing in this blog and it's really nice to get some views on my situation from outsiders. I agree with you, Monitor Deloitte actually does not exist in my country but I think I have the background (both educational and experience) to develop it, the most advanced arm in Deloitte here is the Corporate Finance practice
