Fundamental L/S Equity Internship Advice [How to get a FT offer?]
I will be in interning at a fundamental l/s equity fund this summer. My background is 2 years investment banking, 3 years private equity, 1 year of business school completed thus far.
Aside from the work hard, ask questions, etc. WHAT ARE THE SMALL THINGS I CAN DO?
Thanks.

- For those in their 30s+, where in your career are you vs. where you thought you would be in your 20s?Hey all, so the question is relatively straightforward. Specifically for monkeys in their 30s/40s, where are you in your career right now vs. where you thought you would be in your 20s? This can include job function (ex. moving from IB VP to CD or PE), career growth (ex. associate to...

- Damn these freeloading billionaires! So Warren called billionaires freeloaders because they paid around 3.2% of their total worth as tax this year while the rest paid 7.2% of their wealth. If you say so
I wonder why a veteran like yourself would then bother asking such an obvious questions?

This would have been way cooler had you inserted it in a visible way
The industry is pretty small. It is good not to alienate people.
Actually, getting people to like you is one of the most important things you can do. Your response shows you actually need to take the advice.
@"BlackHat"
@"Simple As..."
@"Gray Fox"
These people could give you specific advice about L/S hedge funds. Your douchey attitude makes it less likely that they will.
Perhaps I'm misreading this, but is it common to do a HF internship once you have that many years of relevant experience? Or are you still in business school? If not, do they then look at whether they want to extend you to full time?
dude read the OP
For clarity, it's quite possible he is in a 1 year MBA program. Hence, why I asked whether he is still in business school. To be honest, I also didn't know MBA candidates did internships.
'1 year of business school completed thus far' implies there is more to come. But fair enough, and a big part of why people go to business school is to do internships so they can get the FT job they want, it's like junior/senior year all over again
