GE FMP- GE CAPITAL VS BB IBD SPONSORS
Have GE FMP offer, 2 BB IBD offers, have heard GE is fucking ticket for PE/VC fast track, without hours and drone lifestyle, have done IBD past 2 summers, anyone have advice for whats better move trying to go towards PE/VC next 5 years?
Um no you idiot take the BB IBD offer. Go to any PE website, what do you see? That's right, BB IBD, with a few MM IBD and MBB sprinkled in.
BB fin sponsors will set you up the best for PE. GE Capital is a good gig too, it's just what you make out of it.
GE FMP > CAS all the way... by the time 5 years is up you'll be up in CAS, maybe even sooner if you're a star. WAY better for PE/VC and even b-school too... congratulations

Corporate Audit Staff. It's a rotational accounting program, where top performers from FMP are abused for about 5 years and then given management responsibility in a division of GE. A great gig, but I'm not sure where this notion that it will be good for PE/VC comes from.
