Goldman Sachs Hirevue Digital Interview

I've been invited for the Hirevue interview. I've applied to SEC, IBD and MBD. I find it a little weird that every time I open the GS application portal, the status of my applications change. For SEC it went from review to interview to received!!

Can someone please share their interview experience (and questions) with me!

Is Goldman SA IB already done? Because my school had a firm information session last week and they encouraged us to apply right after and that it was not late yet.

I applied to 3 cities: two of them are still "application received" but one is "under review." Not sure what to make of this.

I applied as a full -time analyst and one of mine is 'under review' while two are received. I did the hirevue (I'm guessing intro) on 10/16. Haven't heard anything and my application status' haven't changed at all - not really sure what to do now lol have an informational phone chat next Wednesday so hoping I don't get dinged before then

Just looked today after applying a month or so ago, and apparently my graduation date isn't within their time period? Very annoying.

Either way here are some questions I found

  • What motivated you to pick your major(s) and university, do you think you made a good choice?

  • Giving an example of working on projects with tight schedules/deadlines, how did you do and how did you meet expectations?

  • Give an example of forging personal relationships with coworkers and supervisors and how these improved the quality of your work

  • What particular skills do you currently have that you believe would be of use working as an Analyst at GS (they say you have to be specific for this one; I talked about my extensive Excel work and the praise it has received as well as my public speaking/debate career and how it could help me put together pitchbooks)

  • Giving your thoughts about one current market trend or talking about a particular financial, technological or business idea that you have

I am probably on the same boat as you. I applied in early October and was invited for hirevue couple days ago, when the status for all my applications was "received". I haven't submitted the video interview yet but today I found my status changed to "Ineligible for the roles because of the graduation date". Lol...I graduated in May 2016 btw and applied through friend's referral. Not sure if there is any necessity to continue the application. I am dinged.

Back to being totally confused - when I did the hirevue my application still said 'under review'... Monday my status changed to 'Congratulations, you've been selected for a first round interview... you will be contacted by a recruiter in the next 2 business days'

I haven't heard anything so I'm not sure if that is really slow to update and the hirevue was the first round, or there will be another...

Anyone have insight?

My application changed from "received" to "selected to interview" a week after I did my hirevue, but I have not received any email from recruiters. How do I find their contact info to ask them what's up and what this means?
