Hey guys, Freshman here at a target school. What kinds of internships should I be pursuing this summer and next summer if I want to break into bulge bracket S&T my junior year summer? I currently have a search fund internship for my freshman year summer, and applied for an off-cycle IB internship during my fall semester. How much do these experiences help, and how do I position myself for S&T SA applications?

not in S&T myself maybe someone could give you more specific pointers but hopefully this is helpful in any shape or form Disclaimer: I’m an upperclassman at non-target (or potentially semi-target idek anyway still good enough to see people go places) so my POV might differ from others: from what I’ve seen here people who landed in S&T didn’t follow a specific path, just getting any relevant finance internship (WM, research, etc.) is good enough to get a feel for markets/learn technicals and understand products/polish resume/also check out if other finance roles are interesting.
