GS HK IBD Summer Associate First Round Phone Interview Help!
Hi all,
I applied online for GS's HK IBD (corporate finance) and received an invite for first round phone interview. I applied for this position four months ago, and finally heard from them now. To be honest, I wasn't expecting a phone interview from them, since I am from a non-target 2nd tier UC MBA program in California. I have no prior finance work experience. Undergrad degree was Economics. However, I am fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
I don't want to mess up this opportunity. I've been working very hard in my MBA program. I applied to BB networking events, did informational interviews with other BBs. Basically, trying all I can. I'm planning to order the WSO guides and study. Am I heading into the right direction?
I would really appreciate if anyone who had gone through this process with GS or GS HK can give me tips and insights on the type of phone interview questions they might ask.
Also, I have edited my resume and added new extracurriculars from school. Should I email the GS recruiter with my new resume? How about a new cover letter at this point?
Thanks so much for your input!
Did you try to research? Go to recent content and you could easily find one topic about it. Don't waste other time!
Yes, I researched and read every thread on GS HK that I could find. Just wanted to see if people who went through the same process have further info/tips.
There is one right now for SA. May not be different for first round.
Would it make any difference for me to send them my updated resume? No new work experience, but new school activities and scholarship.
