GS Structure Clarification

Hey all,

I'm preparing for first-round SA interviews next week and have one with GS. I've commonly heard that GS doesn't have product groups and all types of work (M&A, all types of financing, etc), are done within the industry groups. However on their website it seems like they are organized by IBD and Financing as well as their industry groups. Thoughts, anyone?

Goldman's banking groups, apart from LevFin, are completely organized along industry and each handles all products for the sector they cover. There is no dedicated M&A group.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.
