GSAM AIMS Group
Can anyone tell me a bit more about GSAM's AIMS group other than what's posted on their site? What does the group focus on? What is the working culture like? Or does anyone know about their product management group in which I have an upcoming interview with?
Thanks in advance
kblue ur so full of shit. why the fuck are u interviewing when u work in ops. also change ur goddamn profile since ur not an Ibanker, ur IN OPS.
hope that helps u remedial monkey
First of all I have been deferred, so which means I can interview at other places. What now it's illegal to interview now when you aren't even working? Tepper87 as a freshman in stern trying to act like an ass you won't be getting any jobs. At least I am still getting interviews.
I banking culture because it is led by former I Bankers So expect I banking hours... Highly rated in the industry Difficult to get into it; hard hard work for analysts; quite well remunerated
Bump - does anyone have any updated information on the GS AIMS group within GSAM?
Anyone heard of GSAM AIMS? (Originally Posted: 06/04/2015)
It stands for alternative investment & management selection. I'm interviewing for an analyst role on the public equity & fixed income team. Anyone heard of this team and what should I expect? Thanks.
Yes- it's fund-of-funds ('manager selection'), not a direct investment role
Thanks. The job description doesn't tell much other than "work in a team", "interest in markets", and "analytical abilities" type of typical qualifications. I think I should get familiar with the market and some investment ideas (it's equity and fixed income team). What else?
Can anyone tell me what about the case study porttion in the interview - most interested in the Real Estate Investment case study.... would appreciate any insight on this process element!

Hi guys - Can anyone pls shed some light on the AIMS group (specifically HF group) at GS? I am currently a junior CRM HF analyst at another BB and am very interested in the group as I will relocate in a year.
I know that my current team does not manage our "portfolio" in the way that we would invest in those HFs as a fof investor, and we are simply managing our relationship with the HFs as trading counterparty. It seems to me that AIMS HF group at GS manages their portfolio as a fof investor, so I am not sure how relevant my experience would be for that team. It'd be great if anyone can share their thoughts. Thx much.
