Curious to know what the hours are like for an investment associate at some of the large MMs (Citadel, point72, millennium) as well as single managers? Coming out of a 2 year analyst stint in IB, any thoughts on how the hours are like starting off?
Appreciate any responses.
I intern part-time at one of the big MMs as an undergrad intern so I get to see a lot. My PMs are active and responsive from 7-7, 7 days a week which sets the tone. New analysts that have joined from PE told me they work ~70-80 hours a week right now in order to make good first impressions and get caught up on the public investing mindset. Everyone sets their own hours though, so depending on your team YMMV.
