Help

Someone reached out to me about a pretty cool role which I have no background in and I don’t know wtf to do.

I guess my concern is how I can make believe I know what’s happening (assuming I take it).

yolo swim or swim. worst case you'll be at sq 1 with more experience

They aren’t telling you to be a quant or engineer - this should be relatively straightforward.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

A lot of times you only need to understand the high level stuff to successfully manage a team. In fact, I have seen many managers getting hired only to be a bridge between senior management and the junior staff in terms of being able to speak both their languages. The question is why they reached out to you. if they already know your background then that is a sign that they might not require too much technical stuff from you imo.
