Hi all,
I have some difficulty understanding if the title Financial Analyst (Corporate Finance) at Houlihan Lokey implies that you are an Investment Banking Analyst in the traditional sense (e.g. M&A transaction work etc.) or if it entails an entirely different position and therefore type of work. Based on just the job description it is hard to assess.
Does anyone know? Thanks in advance!

Yes. Corporate Finance/Financial Analyst = M&A, Financial Restructuring Group/Analyst = RX, and I believe there is also a Valuation Analyst line, or Transaction Advisory Services line. Comment below from anyone who wants to correct me, or add on but I am fairly certain of this.

Ex-HL here. Corp Fin is the M&A/Capital Markets division so Financial Analysts does mean Investment Banking Analysts. Transaction Advisory Services is the Fairness Opinion arm of HL and would not recommend that group if you’re looking for M&A experience, though the analysts there are also called Financial Analysts
Regarding the Transaction services group at HL, why would you not recommend it?
I realize it's not investment banking, but are there specific red flags you observed?
