Hours in Investment Sales Brokerage

What are typical hours for analysts/associates working in investment sales brokerage at one of the top firms (CBRE, JLL, CW, NGKF)?

Also, what percentage of folks stay in IS brokerage vs moving to the buy side after a few years? Seems like they would likely be in high demand for acquisitions roles as they understand the transactions, buyer perspective, local markets, etc.

The hours can be shop/group dependent but from what I’ve seen can range from ~45hrs to 90+ in certain groups (Eastdil, top groups at CB/JLL).

I’ve seen lots of movement from IS to the buy side.. The guys who stay in IS are: 1. very good at sales and therefore make a ton of money 2. Generally come from less analytical backgrounds

I know for a fact that most of the analysts at JLL LA are working 8-12pm Monday through Thursday, plus a decent amount of hours over the weekend.
