Left monitor - Outlook
Right monitor - Excel and then the IE window reduced so it covers the bottom third of the screen

Alt+Tab is my friend. Also have some work relevant website tabs up to clog up the bar and hide what you're really browsing so you can switch to it real quick. Email on left screen, Excel and random pdf files on the right.
personally, i stretch my browser so that it spans both the left monitor to the right monitor. it allows for optimal web browsing. brah.
I have a 3+2 monitor setup. One screen is dedicated to surfing the world wide web, so quiet this summer. Much better last summer with the US going for broke.
Quick tip for all the people raised up on shitty Apple products. Ctrl+w is your friend when surfing the web.

3 monitors -- IM windows on 1st screen, main excel sheets on 2nd screen, outlook on 3rd screen...internet explorer running on alt+tab status ready on 2nd screen.
I use my iPad or iPhone for personal stuff. No issues for this and you are outside any corporate webwashers.
