My interview was Monday morning and I've yet to hear back. It went REALLY well and he said they WILL absolutely contact me. But they haven't yet, just curious how long it'll be. The guy said they wanted me to come in for a 2nd interview but since I'm not in NYC anymore that they'll have a MD or whatnot conduct a phone interview. So when should I expect them to call/contact me?

you are rejected.. when you are outstanding they will let you know within 24 hours in case of a 1st round , in case of a final round they will let you just after the interview..

When you're doing a lateral move, it really depends. Positive response after any round may come in a few hours, and may come in 2 months. With a negative response, it is indeed easier - they usually inform you via email pretty quickly
First round is usually a week and then if you do well in your superday they offer you within like 2 hours
alright thanks. This was a very unorthodox thing indeed. It's a boutique bank, PWM. I got the interview by calling them and they told me to call back and asked me a few quick questions, said cool fly out here. Then I had the interview, said he really liked me and even gave me his personal e-mail to talk about personal interests (music and whatnot) and said he'll do what he can. He said that the higher-ups definitely want to interview me and said that my resume had every necessary requirement for the internship.

Well I got an offer like 3 weeks after superday, so I wouldn't give up hope...

if its a small firm, HR/hiring is prob unorganized meaning it takes longer than BB firms which can get back to you right away due to a dedicated recruiting effort...also, who knows how many of the guys in that office went on vaca this week so dont fret just yet
