How many of you buggers read business books?
So, I have just ordered a number of Business books from Amazon. Things like "10 Day MBA" "Harvard Guide to..." "Barron's Finance" etc.
Just curious, how much of you do the same? How common is it for people to read business books? If I read, will that put me in the upper 1% in terms of continuing education?
Thank you all
I'm a rising junior and I casually read books pretty consistently. Some of them are educational, most are the stories. Examples are Liar's Poker, Reminiscences of a Stock Operator, Narratives and Numbers etc. Not many of my peers seem to read at all but I go to a non-target state school so who knows
Liar's Poker is a good book to read. Same with The Big Short.

Thanks for the advice
I try to read a book a month. Had a friend ask for suggestions yesterday...I sent him a version of the list below:
Finance The Little Book that Still Beats the Market A Random Walk Down Wall Street The Warren Buffet Way The Manual of Ideas Why Moats Matter Warren Buffet and the Interpretation of Financial Statements The five rules for successful stock market investing Berkshire Hathaway Annual Reports When Genius Failed The Intelligent Investor Money: Master the Game
Others The Millionaire Next Door The Millionaire Mind Rich Dad Poor Dad To Sell is Human Entreleadership The Book of Joy The Go-Giver
Philosophy The Bible Atlas Shrugged Jordan Peterson (videos on youtube) Milton Friedman, Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell (on youtube) The Federalist Papers Mere Christianity The Road to Serfdom
Thanks a lot for this list. I'm reading some technical finance books now to learn about the industry. I'll definitely look at some of the books you listed.
Sure thing. Lots of good stuff in there.
Not me, says I. I do find myself reading seeking alpha articles about certain companies/industries :D.
Definitely start with the classic investing: Intelligent Inv, Security Analysis, Margin of Safety (PDF on google).
Others: Good to Great by Jim Collins, all the books about certain entrepreneurs of recent age (Steve Jobs, Musk, The Everything Store (Amazon). Thiel's Zero to One.
