How not to talk to people...part 1

So I get a phone call from a pissed old kid saying the energy rodeo is complete bullchit and he doesnt want to do "equities in dallas"...

  1. if its complete bullshit....why did you sign up?
  2. if you are in college, you can read... so do that.... refund policy is on the site...

and next time have a pair and call from your own phone number..

I could imagine what you would have done if you saw him in person..haha

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.

trade4size:
sorry but when i read this the first person that came to mind was you happypants... just sayin

I'm almost proud of that...

Tell the him he's an idiot, to research the finance world more (and get a job) before he insults people, and send him an extra $10, one hour bonus for when he starts at McDonald's.

Lol, I find the activity interesting, although maybe because I am working with renewable energy and like the field, too bad im across the Atlantic, kind of far away to attend XD.

Monty, make sure you really want to do this before you do. The kid could be some weirdo that jumps off of a bridge just because he could not get into a BB. I would probably pass, I would email him and scare the shit out of him or though, then get an apology out of him.

I would probably pass, I would email him and scare the crap out of him to get an apology out of him, but then tell him that unlike him, you have class and won't screw him over.

That's true I suppose. Sometimes you really do only have one chance. So what do you think you're going to do ? You should probably try to make sure that the name people gave you is actually the guy first, the emails might be talking about the wrong guy, so if you take him down might be in a pickle.

I suppose the golden rule that all of us young monkeys should take away from this is never to burn bridges, because rivers turn up when you're least expecting them.

I am not doing anything. I filed report and let them take care of it.

Yeah I'm sure you could find him pretty easily, just pretend to give him a refund and ask his info or just look into whos paid you with the name John that sounds asian, easy enough I would say

If only we could hear the messages...

Unless he threatened to go batshit crazy homicidal, I doubt cops are going to do much about an annoying call. And if they do, I would be super pissed, because they didn't do anything when I had money stolen from my account on a store's website.

More is good, all is better

GOB:
The cops will not care about some nerdy azn cussing over the phone..

Shit I BARELY care and I'm addicted to this site

You forget who's calling them...its Monty-effing-09

Im a little late but....

After reading this I decided to block my number and give monty a ring saying the energy rodeo was bullchit and i didnt want to do equities in dallas to give me my money back now! He got all flustered and Im like dude its trade4size and assured him I was not the original caller. Sorry about the headache that ensued. Hopefully you figure out this ham n egger and blacklist him somehow. A warning to you all definitely dont want to mess with Monty when hes angry.

You guys are going to have a great time while im moving boxes!

Let's see:

1) Monty probably won't give you all the guy's name/number, that lacks class.

2) It's up to him to decide whether or not he wants to file a police report, we don't know what happened, it's up to him.

3) You're an idiot trade4size, a really, really awesome idiot :-p

HarvyU:
Is there not the possibility that the caricature who emailed you could in fact be the culprit?

haha, the guy must have been like "time to get creative" when he figured the police was involved.

I win here, I win there...

very much so... but whatever.. i can post the actual PM if anyone is interested

The sole issue I see in that is the details of the supposed culprit may in fact belong to an innocent person.
