How old is too old for analyst?
How old is too old to be an analyst? 24? 25? 26? 27? older? People get their MBAs in their mid to high twenties so would there be a cutoff age?

people get MBAs in their 30's to 40's...is 40 too old?
People with MBAs apply for Associate Programs so they really shouldn't be Analysts. I think at some point, it's a function of why you haven't switched into IB earlier / at what age you aren't willing to deal with the 80-100 hr work weeks anymore.
I have seen a 29 year old first year analyst at a regional BB office in South America, so I think what matters more are the capabilities, experience and skills than age, properly speaking
Anytime in 20's is definitely not too old - one example is military people who finish their undergrad later and make a career change
~27-30 is when you should really be considering an MBA route instead of the analyst grind
Put it this way: I've seen IBD analysts at small shops in the 30-34 range, but have never seen an analyst in IBD, S&T, or ER (associate) at a bulge bracket bank older than 30.
YMMV, but I'd say this is a decent guideline.
