How to prepare for IB recruiting? Going to LSE undergrad next year.
Hi guys
I got into LSE and next year will be starting one of their non-econ programs, think history/government/philosophy. How should I prepare for the Spring Week recruiting? I will have 3.5 months in the summer and I would like to utilize this time efficiently. I don't have much on my CV apart from speaking another language, a week-long JP Morgan work experience for high school students and the LSE brand name. So what would you recommend?
Also, I will have 4/12 outside options. Which basically means that a third of my modules I will be able to take from other than my home department. What kind of classes should I take to have a better shot at IB? e.g accounting/economics/finance?
Cheers
Definitely the basic accounting courses, which give you a good overview on how the financial statements. What's really going to help you is if you get involved with investment clubs, finance clubs, conferences. I think the people you meet there will be greatly beneficial to recruiting, as IB recruiting relies heavily on who you know to get that initial interview.

Hi, whatsup? Are you going to LSE as well then?
My tsr name is sun_bear, dunno if you have seen me on the thread... i've applied for accounting and finance and still awaiting a response.
Oh yeah, I definitely have seen you on the thread. Good luck with your application! As a fellow UK student and potentially a classmate, would you like to contribute something to my original question?
